OFTEC-Approved Oil Heating Training
Why Expand into Oil?
For engineers working in rural or remote areas where the gas grid doesn’t reach, oil heating remains a vital and lucrative market. Specialising in oil allows you to serve a dedicated customer base and provides a recession-proof addition to your service portfolio.
At Anglia Heating Training, our OFTEC-approved courses combine focused classroom theory with rigorous practical exercises. We ensure you gain hands-on experience with industry-leading brands, including Grant, Firebird, and Warmflow.
Our Training Pathways
Whether you are a seasoned engineer looking to renew your credentials or an industry newcomer, we provide the specific OFTEC assessments required to install, service, and commission oil-fired appliances with total competence.
New to the Industry? Start with OFT50
The OFT50 is our bespoke entry-level course designed for candidates with little to no prior oil experience. We go beyond the basics to ensure you have a solid foundation:
- Core Skills: Master the disassembly and reassembly of oil-fired pressure jet boilers and their internal components.
- System Design: Gain in-depth tuition on heating design and the logistics of installing complete oil systems.
- Extended Training: For those completely new to the trade, we allocate additional days for intensive training on installation design and essential fault-finding techniques.
Advanced & Specialist Modules
Once the foundations are laid, or for existing engineers seeking to expand their scope, we offer the following specialist certifications:
- OFT101: Servicing and Commissioning of Oil-Fired Equipment
- OFT105: Installation of Oil-Fired Equipment
- OFT600: Installation of Oil Tanks and Oil Supply Lines
